Rocky Mountain PBS seeks a Programming/Traffic Technician to assist the Program Manager and Chief Content Office with our network programming and broadcast operations.
Assists with maintenance of videotape library and labeling of network recording and program dubs. Prepares program logs on computer for Master Control according to station policies and Federal Communication Commission (FCC) regulations. Enters program Total Running Time and reel numbers into the computer. Assists with shipping tapes and other materials and maintains accurate shipping records. Delivers tapes and continuity materials to appropriate on-air personnel, including electronic transfer. Assists with proof reading and data entry of traffic materials.
Graduation from a standard high school or its equivalent. 2 yrs successful traffic experience in the broadcast industry. Ability to work with figures, specifically timing information, and maintain accuracy; attention to detail is essential. Must be available for on call coverage during station broadcast hours. Prior experience with data entry and computers. Familiarity with television broadcast operations and procedures. Ability to deal with a variety of people with tact and efficiency. Must possess a valid Colorado driver's license and be eligible for coverage under the provisions of RMPBS’s automobile insurance. Spanish language skills a plus.
