Mortgage Document Clerk

MetaSource is currently seeking an intelligent, self-driven, and motivated team member to join our team of Mortgage Services Auditors in our Denver, CO office.

 What does a Mortgage Document Clerk do? 

The Mortgage Document Clerk ensures secure document custody for all files received at the facility and stored in the vault. This position will assist in maintaining, organizing, filing, and retrieving documents within the vault.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Responsibilities:          

Ensure all documents received are scanned and properly archived
Create and use spreadsheets for tracking projects and workflow
Prepare aged/cured files for shipment to permanent storage facility
Conduct vault audits to validate inventory
Locate and ship documents as requested
Compile and prepare FHA case binders for submission
Reviews documents for completion and accuracy and determine any re-verifications needed
Track and calculate the correct percentage of files required for prefunding audit; assign appropriate files and communicate to auditors
Recognize documentation and the proper procedures in processing them
Communicates with co-workers, management, clients and others in a courteous and professional manner
Complies with and adheres to MetaSource policies and procedures

REQUIREMENTS:

Qualifications:

High School GED or equivalent
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Knowledge of mortgage documents requirements a plus
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
Knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Word, and Outlook, and Excel
Willingness to work inside a vault enclosure,
Possess the physical means to lift boxes weighing between 30 and 45 pounds, and ascend, work from, and descend a stair step ladder up to 4 feet in height
