Bonneville Distribution is part of Deseret Management Corporation and provides distribution services for the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Based in Salt Lake City, Bonneville Distribution focuses on providing distribution services for TV and radio stations around the world that broadcast the weekly Mormon Tabernacle Choir Broadcast, Music & the Spoken Word, and LDS General Conference.
POSITION OBJECTIVE: Grow the viewing and listening audience for the Bonneville Distribution clients domestically, by successfully distributing to and supporting radio, TV, satellite, cable and multi-media platforms throughout North America.
Work with and direct some efforts of the team (office administrator and duplication director), under direction of General Manager.Ensure on-time, on-budget performance of distribution process
Work to continually improve efficiencies, take advantage of new technologies and reduce distribution costs by working with BIC and external experts and broadcasters to organize and implement new technologies for duplication and distribution.
Assume day-to-day responsibilities for management, archiving and distribution of video & audio files and other key information.
Professionally represent Bonneville to its clients and the broadcast world.Help develop marketing/distribution plans and budgets and sell these to the Client.
Help present monthly sales and distribution reports to Client
Maintain a positive, cooperative rapport with clients, co-workers, and media contacts.
Initiate and coordinate upgrades to the companys websites and databases
Be a motivated, energetic, self-starting marketing/sales professional who actively closes agreements to place client content in the marketplace.Develop and deliver compelling presentations for client media placement to key broadcast programming decision makers via face-to-face selling and mail, email, and telephone.
Organize and coordinate development of compelling promotional materials.
Have a background in and detailed understanding of compression technology and formatting and the management of audio and video file formats.
Valid drivers license and proven ability to safely drive personal vehicle without exposing the company to serious liability risks.
Work effectively in a team environment.
Consistently works hours required. Works more when required to meet deadlines including weekends, holidays, evenings, etc.
Project appropriate, professional appearance and demeanor.
Work in compliance with Company policies and procedures, fully supporting Companys vision statement.
Other duties as assigned.
Sit for long periods of time.
Substantial physical movement (motion) of wrists, hands and fingers.
Lift, move and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally.
Receive, process, and maintain information through oral and/or written communication effectively.
Ability to extend hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction with good eye and hand coordination.
Ability to travel alone, for periods up to 10 days.
